Pavilion Technologies has formed a worldwide strategic alliance with Hatch, a pre-eminent global engineering firm with special expertise in mining, metallurgy and energy.
The partnership will provide Hatch customers in the cement, mining, metallurgy and energy (hydro, wind-power and fossil) sectors with industry-specific solutions powered by Pavilion8 advanced process control and performance management software.
The combination of best-of-breed technology and Hatch industry expertise will enable manufacturers to further increase production, reduce costs, enhance product quality and reduce emissions.
The initial geographic focus of the partnership will be in North America, South Africa and Australia.
"Hatch and Pavilion bring to the marketplace the combination of highly respected industry expertise and leading-edge technology", said ARC Advisory Group's Senior Analyst Enterprise Applications, Tom Fiske.
"This partnership can help mining companies solve some of their toughest challenges and deliver value quickly".
"Progressive companies will benefit from the results-driven approach of these two firms".
Hatch's capabilities include working with refractory and nonrefractory ores and can extend processing through to smelting, refining, ferroalloy, iron and steelmaking.
Leveraging Pavilion8 modelling, control, monitoring, analysis, visualisation and integration technologies will enable Hatch to improve profitability for customers by helping them capitalise on market demand and increase customer quality.
"Clients of both partners will benefit from the insight gained from the perspectives of other industries regarding adoption of new technologies, including the inclusion of model predictive control in greenfield projects", added ARC's Director of Research, Russ Novak.
"This partnership extends our portfolio of offerings and increases the value of our solutions", said Hatch Managing Director - Systems, John D Pearson.
"We selected Pavilion Technologies as an APC partner based on its leading-edge technology, extensive experience, satisfied customer roster and its ValueFirst programme, which allows us to offer our clients the option of a guaranteed return on investment".
"This partnership gives Pavilion Technologies an excellent opportunity to bring unique, high-value solutions to existing joint customers and new customers in the mining, metals and energy sectors", said Pavilion's Vice President of Business Development, Greg Jackson.
"Hatch has designed and built some of the largest and most advanced mines, mineral processing/beneficiation, hydrometallurgical, pyrometallurgical and autoclave facilities in the world".
"This alliance is a major step forward in advancing Pavilion Technologies' position in these sectors".
