Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Mar 1, 2006

Advanced process control and environmental compliance company wins Frost and Sullivan 2006 Emerging Company of the Year Award.

Independent industry analyst Frost and Sullivan has awarded Pavilion Technologies the 2006 Emerging Company of the Year Award in the field of advanced process control and automation.

The annual award certifies that Pavilion has a solid business strategy and strong customer service, backed by a track record of high-quality products and services, outstanding management and consistent growth.

With its focus on customer-driven innovation and customer value, Pavilion has outperformed its competition.

"The company's newly launched Pavilion 8 technology platform enhances the performance of manufacturers, enabling them to make more profit-impacting decisions," said Frost and Sullivan Research Analyst Arun Kumar.

"The Pavilion 8 platform provides a suite of functionality such as modelling, controlling, monitoring, analysis and visualisation, and helps customers gain the best value from the process".

Pavilion has created opportunities for itself by concentrating on customer value creation and exploring avenues of growth in end-user industries that are still unaware of the potential of advanced process control.

Pavilion's customer advisory council provides a platform for customers to voice their needs and thus influence the company's strategic decision-making.

"We are honoured to be recognised as an industry leader by Frost and Sullivan," said Ralph Carter, Pavilion Technologies' CEO.

"We are committed to customer satisfaction, and the best measure of our success is through the value our customers receive from our products".

Users world-wide have rated Pavilion high for its products and its Value First customer engagement methodology, which provides a detailed analysis of the return on investments and the cash flow calculations even before the project is implemented.

This not only highlights the benefits of the product, but also helps the company achieve customer satisfaction starting from the design stage.

"Pavilion 8's J2EE platform and web services-based approach has enabled seamless integration of the plant with other enterprise systems," said Kumar.

"Other enhancements such as hybrid modelling that enable a combination of traditional empirical models with the first principles have received excellent feedback from the customers as well as the research community".
