Cement industry veteran Brian Forsythe is taking a leadership role as Industry Solution Director for Cement, Minerals and Mining at Pavillion Technologies.

Cement industry veteran Brian Forsythe is taking a leadership role as Industry Solution Director for Cement, Minerals and Mining at Pavillion Technologies With more than a decade of experience in cement management and advanced process control, Forsythe has worked with world-class cement manufacturers in the USA, China, South Korea, Indonesia, Venezuela, Peru, Canada, Saudi Arabia, and the Philippines to enhance productivity and efficiency in all areas of manufacturing

Forsythe will direct the company's cement, minerals and mining business, including sales support, solution development, client management and engineering services.

Forsythe most recently served as an assistant plant manager for Lehigh Cement's Union Bridge, Maryland 2.5 million ton plant.

A subsidiary of Heidelberg Cement, this facility is the largest in the Heidelberg group worldwide.

Forsythe joined Heidelberg Cement in 2000 as a process engineer at the Heidelberg Technology Centre supporting North American operations and was a member of Heidelberg's pyroprocessing expert group.

In 2003, he joined the Lehigh Cement Union Bridge management team overseeing finish grinding and shipping operations before being promoted to assistant plant manager the following year.

Prior to joining Heidelberg, he served as a senior commissioning engineer for FL Smidth for six years.

In this role, he helped clients start up six new cement lines, audit and improve process performance, and deploy control and optimisation solutions throughout the world.
