Pavilion Technologies has opened a new office in Shanghai, China, to meet manufacturers' growing demand for solutions that boost manufacturing productivity, reduce costs and meet growing environmental regulations Powered by the company's proven Pavilion8 software platform, Pavilion offers a suite of value-based advanced process control and environmental management solutions for the petrochemical, cement and consumer goods industry

The company's headquarters are located in the heart of Shanghai's booming commercial centre Xu Jia Hui, near the Shanghai Stadium.

"As one of the fastest growing economies in the world, China offers a fertile market for Pavilion's software solutions".

"Manufacturers are under incredible pressure to meet market demands - both volume and quality - while simultaneously reducing their environmental impact", said Solomon Wang, Senior Analyst, ARC Advisory Group, China.

In conjunction with the opening, Yangzi Petrochemicals selected Pavilion's polymer control solution to improve production performance at their Nanjing facility.

This marks the first Chinese petrochemical manufacturer to deploy Pavilion's model predictive control (MPC) solution on a polymer line.

Yangzi Petrochemicals, a subsidiary of Sinopec Corporation, produces nearly six million tons of petrochemical products each year, with annual earnings reaching approximately US $5 billion.

Yangzi selected Pavilion's polymer solution to improve product quality, reduce variable costs and increase production.

Pavilion's polymer solution is based on the Pavilion8 software platform, the most powerful software platform in manufacturing today.

Based on a modern service-oriented architecture, Pavilion8 allows customers to model, analyse, predict, control and view their production and environmental process performance to meet business goals.

"Leading manufacturers like Sinopec are realising significant value from our solutions", said Quinn Yu, Director of Operations, Pavilion Technologies, Far East.

"Our Shanghai office will allow leading Chinese petrochemical manufacturers to achieve business results and environmental goals".
