Pavilion8 Version 2.5 addresses improving operational efficiency, reducing energy use and controlling emissions.

Pavilion Technologies has released Pavilion8 Version 2.5, the modular software platform for Pavilion's industry-specific solutions.

The enhanced Pavilion8 platform powers all of Pavilion's industry-specific applications through a common software architecture, including control and optimisation, environmental compliance and production performance management.

This integrated application suite addresses the most critical issues facing manufacturers: improving operational efficiency, reducing energy use and controlling emissions.

The capabilities in the new release of Pavilion8 focus on three key areas, pro-active plant decision-making, enterprise integration and usability.

"With the release of the new version of Pavilion8, we are quickly seeing value in the ability to manage both environmental emissions and process control through a single platform", said Sterling Chemicals Assistant Manager for Control Systems, Dennis Yieh.

"The new capabilities help us to identify and resolve problems much more quickly than was previously possible".

The new capabilities allow manufacturers to derive greater value from Pavilion's solutions including.

These capabilities include pro-active decision-making that provides greater visibility and insight to better optimise manufacturing operations.

It also offers a scaleable platform with a distributed architecture to facilitate integration and foster greater access to Pavilion8 solutions, as well as an enhanced platform and application usability tools to streamline application development and deployment.

"Pavilion has balanced the needs of both its customers and the evolving operations management market with Pavilion8 Version 2.5", said ARC Advisory Goup Senior Research Director, Tom Fiske.

"As manufacturers grapple with controlling costs, efficiencies and compliance across a fleet of assets, an integrated suite of solutions leveraging shared plant models and common software platform is appealing".
