PB Design has provided its static inverters for emergency power backup in the intensive care and high dependency units at Frenchay and Taunton (Musgrove Park) hospitals.

PB Design has provided its static inverters for emergency power backup in the intensive care and high dependency units at Frenchay and Taunton (Musgrove Park) hospitals.

The two 20kVA systems back up life essential equipment, and the company also services and maintains this equipment, providing 24 hour, seven day a week emergency cover.

Frenchay Hospital began its life as a sanatorium for children with tuberculosis and following a major redevelopment program in the late 1980s, it continues to develop, refine and expand its services and facilities, ensuring it remains an internationally recognised centre of excellence The Taunton and Somerset NHS Trust, based at Musgrove Park in Taunton, provides the highest professional standard of acute and community services to a population of approximately 330,000.
