When the Walker in Liverpool recently underwent a major GBP 4.3 million refurbishment program, PB Design supplied a 110V DC central battery system to support its emergency lighting.

The Walker Gallery holds a wide-ranging collection of prints, drawings and photographs.

The collection includes: old master drawings; 18th and 19th century watercolours by artists such as Turner and Peter de Wint; a unique collection of George Romney cartoons; Victorian and pre-Raphaelite drawings and watercolours and twentieth century works by artists like Paul Nash, Edward Wandsworth and Eric Ravilious.

As with all public buildings, emergency lighting is critical.

PB Design's Series 90 DC central battery systems are ideal for emergency lighting applications.

Designed to meet relevant European standards, there is a product in this comprehensive range to satisfy the majority of emergency lighting requirements from 24 to 240V DC.

They feature constant voltage charging for reduced maintenance, digital metering of battery voltage and charge/discount current, modular alarm system with visual and audible indication BMS facility via volt-free changeover contacts, comprehensive quality assurance system, compatible to ISO9001 and a computerised central test system.
