The latest version of the AutoLog AL14 small and low-cost PLC incorporates an exceptional level of functionality for such a small unit, enabling machine builders to use it as either a Modbus master or slave, and working at a high baud rate of 115.2k for faster operation.

Available from PBE Systems for general-purpose control, it is assembled on a single PCB and has been designed and priced for OEM machine automation applications.

For other small control tasks it can efficiently replace such devices as relays and timers.

Compact dimensions of 125 x 107 x 30mm allow this PLC to be easily panel or DIN mounted anywhere.

Three versions are offered, all with 8 digital inputs plus a pulse input, and having either 7 or 8 digital outputs, while one also has 2 analogue inputs.

Versions have one or two serial ports for connection to other PLCs, modems or devices, and a large program memory holding 4000 or 8000 commands.

A range of dedicated AutoLog operator interfaces is available.

Programs are created using a simple and efficient command language through a PC, with a software system that produces a detailed document of the program instantaneously and gives very easy updating of the documentation after any changes.
