The combined advantages of a PC and PLC for controlling HMIs, without having to use expensive and complicated 'soft' control systems, are provided by the new AutoLogic AL14/104 HMI control module developed by PBE Systems.

Available for any industrial PC or HMI with a PC/104 interface, it brings machine builders the benefits of a bundled control solution at low cost.

Simplified wiring and installation savings are also offered on machines where the I/O is close to the HMI.

The unit's PLC has been tested in the toughest environments and temperature extremes.

Standard specification is 8 to 14 digital inputs, two analogue inputs, seven digital outputs and a counter input.

The module is powered by its host while isolation is provided against external signals.

It solves the problem faced by many users needing a logic module with HMI/SCADA systems but wanting to avoid the lack of reliability and robustness as well as the expense of soft logic control.
