The Altersys Virgo automation software suite is now available from PBE Systems incorporating Indusoft Web Studio software, providing what is claimed to be the only ISaGRAF-based HMI, SCADA and embedded control system that runs on Windows CE 3.0 and has Internet capability to communicate with other systems Fully addressing the requirements of multiple industrial automation and utility market segments, the Virgo software holds all necessary components for configuring and running automation systems, whether embedded or not, including HMI, alarms, events, trends, hard real-time control and communications

It enables any type of control whether continuous, batch, or discrete in both supervisory and fully automatic modes.

Based on ISaGRAF IEC 61131 technology, it also supports 'mission-critical' applications ranging from nuclear and conventional power to metal smelting, industrial baking, food processing and many others.

Web Studio provides an HMI and SCADA system that runs in native Windows CE 3.0, NT, 98 and 2000 environments.

It can migrate upward from an embedded CE 3.0 instrumentation controller to a large-scale NT-based supervisory or distributed control system, and has XML outputs to communicate with everything from Ethernet-based instrumentation to higher level enterprise software over the Internet.
