New range features 17 engineering adhesives

A Permabond product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Aug 6, 2004

The new Permabond range consists of nine new anaerobic adhesives for gasketing, thread-locking, retaining and pipe-sealing applications, as well as eight new cyanoacrylate instant adhesives.

Permabond Engineering Adhesives is a leading manufacturer of high-quality adhesives for demanding engineering applications.

Since the sale of Permabond (formerly owned by National Starch and Chemical) at the end of 2003, the family-run company has reinvested heavily into the research and development of new, technologically innovative anaerobic and cyanoacrylate adhesive products.

The new range consists of nine new anaerobic adhesives for gasketing, thread-locking, retaining and pipe-sealing applications, as well as eight new cyanoacrylate instant adhesives.

Permabond chemists have focused their attention on developing products with enhanced chemical and temperature resistance, in response to increasingly demanding engineering applications.

Key innovations within the new range include an anaerobic pipe sealant capable of resisting gaseous oxygen and a high temperature cyanoacrylate which cures in seconds and can withstand temperatures of up to 200C.

The new products are on sale now and are available in smart new packaging to allow for easy dispensing and accurate application.
