Permabond has developed an anaerobic pipe sealant which has been officially certified suitable for use with oxygen up to 10bar and 60C by BAM.

Normal anaerobic sealants cannot be used for oxygen-rich systems due to instability, but the special formulation of Permabond MH052 allows complete confidence in its sealing ability against gaseous oxygen.

Permabond MH052 offers the user a number of benefits such as: a vibration proof seal; no cracking, creep or shrinking; no particles to clog valves; ease of use, allowing rapid manufacture of joints; the ability to be dismantled with normal tools; and approvals including BAM, DVGW and WRAS (drinking water approval).

Typical applications could include sealing oxygen pipelines in hospitals, breathing apparatus, aircraft oxygen systems etc MH052 is also suitable for other gases and liquids and has excellent chemical resistance.
