A new range of single-component UV-curable adhesives are ideal for applications where accurate alignment of components is required or where a quick cure is vital.

Permabond Engineering Adhesives has a new range of single-component adhesives that are cured within seconds of exposure to ultraviolet light.

This makes them ideal for applications where accurate alignment of components is required or where a quick cure is vital.

These products can offer the user potential savings in terms of production time and increased throughput due to the rapid cure.

Permabond's new UV-curables can be used on a wide variety of applications from bonding glass furniture and cabinets to tiny electrical components on a high-speed production line.

They can bond a variety of materials, providing UV light can be transmitted through one of the substrates to initiate the cure.

The products have been especially developed to provide maximum optical clarity and are non-yellowing, so they will give a perfect aesthetic finish.

They are also available in a range of viscosities to suit the gap fill requirements of the joint.

The adhesives are high-strength and have exhibited excellent durability.

A flexible, shock and impact resistant grade is also available which is suitable for applications where differential thermal expansion could be an issue.

Permabond is keen to offer a turnkey solution to customers.

Its technical team is on hand to help with joint design and product selection and its engineers are able to help with all aspects of the bonding process, including automated dispensing, curing and identifying possible cost-savings or product design improvements.
