Permabond has announced the launch of its Magnet Bonding brochure to customers.
The use of magnets is widespread in electric motors, electronics, loudspeakers and various other manufacturing industries.
Many manufacturers prefer to use adhesives to bond magnets over more traditional methods (such as mechanical fixings and clips).
The benefits of using adhesives include lighter component weight and no rattling or humming of parts (so quieter motor running noise).
Adhesive developments include rapid curing products for high-speed production lines and products that will withstand temperature extremes and pass rigorous industry drop tests.
Permabond also offers special non-corrosive formulations for sensitive copper connections within sealed electric motors.
