The first time Procter Machinery Guarding will exhibit the Satech low-cost modular perimeter guarding system will be at Mach 2006 at Birmingham's NEC from 15th to 19th May.

Procter Machinery Guarding will be on stand 5186 in hall five at Mach 2006 at Birmingham's NEC from 15th to 19th May.

This will be the first time the company has exhibited the Satech low-cost modular perimeter guarding system.

Procter will also be highlighting its capability for designing and manufacturing enclosure guards for machine tools, plus it will be giving away machinery safety CD-ROMs.

Having signed an exclusive distribution agreement, Procter is now supplying the Satech guarding system to customers in the UK and Ireland.

This includes a range of panels, posts, doors, brackets and accessories.

Four specifications are available to suit different applications and budgets.

The system will appeal to anyone requiring perimeter guarding, including end-user manufacturers, warehousing OEMs and automation line builders.

Customers can install the guards themselves or use Procter's installation teams.

Also featured on the stand will be the company's capability for designing and manufacturing machine tool enclosure guards.

These are built to high standards in terms of quality and safety, and finished to the customer's specification.

Over the past two years Procter has produced some popular free tools relating to machinery safety, namely a guide to machinery guarding standards, a risk assessment calculator, a machine accident investigation kit and a safety distance calculator.

These have been compiled together on a CD-ROM that will be available free of charge from the Procter stand.
