Programme provides electromechanical expertise

A Servocell product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Apr 3, 2006

A novel partnership programme aims to make it easier for lock companies to move from traditional designs to electromechanical solutions.

Servocell's ProActive Partnership programme aims to spearhead global access control developments and make it easier for lock companies to move from traditional designs to electromechanical solutions.

The partnership is a growing directory of access control companies and their technology which works together with Servocell's Active Latch.

Many traditional lock manufacturers wish to move into the higher growth sector of electromechanical locks.

Although they may have expertise in mechanical locks, they may have less capability in the area of access control and need a partner who can help.

Servocell's ProActive Partners are companies who have demonstrated a capability and understanding in this area.

Among the first customers to become ProActive Partner companies are ODI Security (USA), TSSI (UK), Soha Sun (Iran), Key Innovations (Sweden) and Suprema (Korea).

"We have been working with lock manufacturers and access control device developers in over 15 countries worldwide on these solutions", explained Simon Powell, CEO of Servocell.

"Our new ProActive Partnership Programme will facilitate an increased pace to new product development for our customers as well as opening new sales opportunities through a raised awareness of the global access control products available across the new network".

"To be part of the ProActive Partnership means a great deal for Key Innovations", said Thomas Hogler, Managing Partner at Key Innovations.

"One of the main benefits from the ProActive Partnership is that we can move faster towards new business".

"By integrating 'plug-in' modules to our ordinary Tap-a-Key/Active Latch module, we can meet new customer demands", he continued.

"This way we can address a wider field of applications and be able to engage in business opportunities beyond the simple "entry level" of the security arena".

End users too will benefit from the new partnership alliance.

For those seeking a new lock, new access control system, or a combination of the two for innovative solutions to their security problem Servocell's ProActive Partnership brings together both sides of the equation to bring the best solution for an application.

Commenting on these benefits, Russell Woolsey, Sales Manager at award-winning TSSI said: "The ProActive Partnership is the coming-together of a group of highly innovative companies all committed to providing customers with leading-edge security solutions".

"Our customers will be able to benefit from our link with the network of partners that Servocell has created as it will allow us to draw easily on expertise and components from some of most ground-breaking security specialists in the market".
