Compressed air safety

A PCL product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Sep 13, 2006

PCL's new catalogue includes the Safeflow profile safety coupling for compressed air applications, which features a two-stage release to eliminate hosewhip.

PCL's "Made in Sheffield" air distribution products are packed into in a new 2nd Edition Product Directory to be released this month.

With 104 pages - almost double the size of the previous edition - the catalogue provides comprehensive details of more than 700 products.

New and existing ranges of tyre inflation equipment, couplings, adaptors, hoses and air tools are listed, with a part number index so that each product is clearly identifiable.

The tyre guage section details the ACCURA range of electronic units, including the new ACCURA DAC1 for fast inflation and reduced operating costs, and in the analogue section the recently launched, EC-approved Airforce handheld air line gauge.

New additions to the couplings and adaptors section include the Safeflow profile safety coupling for compressed air applications, which features a two-stage release to eliminate hosewhip.

Customers can browse through the largest selection of products available, meeting requirements for all kinds of applications, from specialist, to light and heavy industrial.

Products are grouped into key industry areas so that the correct item for the intended use and application is easily located.

The directory also includes a coupling interchange chart with scaled adaptor profiles, and an air tool air consumption guide with FAD recommendations for compressor choice.

There's also a section on merchandise display so you can choose how to market your products in store.

Designed to be easy to follow and find products, the directory is supported by PCL's regularly updated website where electronic copies are available to download.
