PCL products are big in America

A PCL product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jan 16, 2007

PCL has again scored a huge hit at SEMA due to its ability to anticipate the evolving US needs for efficient, safe, reliable and accurate tire inflation.

As an increasingly recognised name in the US, PCL generated interest from customers in the States and Canada, as well amongst representatives from Mexico, Chile, Venezuela, Colombia, Australia and various European regions at this international show.

The company's commitment to providing high quality products capable of guaranteed accuracy of pressure to give improved fuel consumption and increased safety has propelled PCL to the forefront of the marketplace as the brand for longer tire life and an enhanced ride.

Garages and tireshops with PCL equipment cannot only provide a better service but they also can do this more cost effectively.

In addition to the high fuel prices other factors driving changes in the US marketplace include the rising prevalence of TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems), which call for greater accuracy from tire shops and garages - with legislation coming into force in 2007 to enforce use of the systems on all new cars.

The increasing penetration of nitrogen, which works superbly with PCL's Accura systems, also shows the increasing demand for the high quality and accurate inflation that the PCL products deliver.

Representatives of the automotive industry, tireshops, garages, and transport and nitrogen companies therefore welcomed demonstrations of the recently launched range of handheld tire inflation products.

This range includes the market leading digital ACCURA 1 handheld unit, which is becoming widely accepted as the best product available for measuring and checking digital TPMS.

Visitors were also impressed with the new AirForce dial unit, tested and approved under the EC Directive 86/217.

Fast and simple to use with guaranteed accuracy, the AirForce offers longer life, lower operating costs and excellent shock resistance, all within a modern functional design featuring a clear analogue display.

Completing the handheld range is the accurate and extremely robust Hi-Flo MK 3 inflater, suitable for even intensive indoor and outdoor use.

PCL also demonstrated the full range of ACCURA electronic preset tire inflation units, designed for all types of tire inflation applications - from tireshops, garages, and car dealerships to transportation and vehicle manufacture.

The equipment provides leading levels of accuracy and efficiency and is also ideal for nitrogen applications.

PCL general manager, Simon Shorter, says: "We were extremely pleased with the reaction from visitors to our stand at SEMA - it proves that we are making our stamp on the US market and have listened to their needs".

"We will continue to build on this momentum and are looking to grow our distribution network through the US to meet the demand for what is our most exciting and advanced range to date.".
