The new EX5/500 excimer laser from GAM features an innovative all-metal/ceramic plasma tube that results in a gas fill that lasts up to ten times longer than traditional lasers.
Archer OpTx is the preferred source for replacement/compatible Kodak moulded glass lenses used in many high volume applications such as barcode scanners and collimated diode laser modules.
Precision glass aspheres can be designed for prototype or low volume applications with a standard stock selection offered for general purpose or high power laser applications.
Design files compatible with most popular ray tracing software can be downloaded from Archer's website.
Archer will design a lens or optical assembly for specific applications or fabricate optics to customer drawings and specifications.
Precision moulded aspheric lenses are fabricated in high volumes using pre-forms manufactured in-house.
Hard moulds have a lifetime of better than 100,000 parts, ensuring consistency of quality and are cost effective in medium quantities whereas soft moulds are more economical in small lots of 100-500 units and have a lifetime of approximately 1000 parts.
Archer can produce optical assemblies including eyepieces, telescopes, CCD camera lenses, beam expanders and high magnification zoom lenses as examples.
An optical engineering service is available for users requiring sophisticated design consultancy on a contract basis.
Besides aspheres, Archer also manufactures dielectric coated optical filters, interference filters, notch filters and speciality filters.
They also provide a full range of traditional optics including spherical, cylindrical and toroidal optics.
Flat reference surfaces, prisms, toroids, axicons and other unusual shapes are routinely manufactured including optics for military and aerospace.
