Fermentation processes in particular, benefit from membrane technology as it offers particular advantages including increased efficiency and a higher degree of purification and selectivity when compared to conventional technologies such as rotary vacuum filtration, centrifugation, distillation and ion exchange.
PCI-Memtech works closely with its customers from pilot plant trials through to full process system design and installation.
At all stages, PCI-Memtech works to the practices outlined in G.A.M.P.
3 (Good Automated Manufacturing Practice - Edition 3).
By working to a VMP (Validation Master Plan) and URS (User Requirement Specification) developed jointly with the customer, each stage of the project can be carefully controlled.
In addition, process operating software can be simulated, fully pre-tested and validated in-house, enabling the installation and commissioning period to be greatly reduced.
