Hygienic filters achieve excellent flow rates

PCI-Memtech's robust 3" and 6" body 316L stainless steel filters, designed to remove suspended solids from fluid process flows with a minimum of disruption, are versatile units having specific applications in the food, dairy, beverage, brewing, and pharmaceutical industries.
The filters, manufactured to hygienic standards, comprise an interchangeable wedge-wire element, available with micron ratings from 10 to 3000, as standard.
Seals, available in EPDM, Viton, PTFE or white silicone, allow operating temperatures between -25 and 150 C and operating pressures up to 10 bar.
The filters can be connected to 1" to 4" pipework via plain ended, RJT, IDF, clamp, flange, SMS, BSP or DIN connections, and allow for installation in-line or at 90 inlet/outlet ports.
Options available include duplex and triplex filters enabling flow to be diverted in one or more directions and jacketed filters for maintaining process temperatures (hot or cold) within the unit.
In addition, modular systems can be quickly designed to meet most process requirements.
The filters remove particles from process feeds and can achieve excellent flow rates, with minimum pressure drop through the filter.
All units are simple to install, easy to clean manually or by CIP processes, and can be backwashed to prevent product contamination.
As no replacement filter or mesh bags are required, the units have minimal operational cost.
