Polaron Components has a new Managing Director.

Wayne Bishop has joined the Watford-based company from Druck, which is now part of GE Infrastructure Sensing.

Bishop has over 15 years' experience in the pressure sensor and instrumentation fields, and has worked in the USA and the UK.

"Polaron Component's products have a strong pedigree for high performance and reliability particularly in aerospace, military and marine applications", said Bishop.

"We have a wealth of knowledge and expertise within the team here, and I am looking forward to building on this by strengthening our sales organisation and introducing new products".

Polaron Components' product ranges include pressure sensors, electrolytic inclinometers, tilt and position sensors, vibration and impact sensors, mercury gyro sensors, subminiature lamps, float switches, secondary lamps, commutators and brushed motors.
