Pacer Components has signed an agreement to distribute the SVS-Vistek range of progressive scan cameras.

Progressive scan cameras are the choice for most precision imaging applications.

This type of camera creates a sharper image with higher contrast.

The cameras use a traditional Bayer filtered matrix array and are available with resolutions from 640 x 480 to 2580 x 1944 with colour options.

The cameras are available with LVDS or CameraLink interfaces and can be configured via an RS232 serial interface.

Included in the SVS-Vistek range is the SVS205MRCL/CRCL remote head megapixel system, which allows the user to connect up to three mono or colour 1360 x 1024pixel cameras to one frame grabber via the Vistek interface.

This reduces the number of frame grabbers required, and so can represent a substantial cost saving.

This approach is also useful when there are a limited number of PCI slots available in the host PC.

Each camera can be run at up to 21 frames per second.
