Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Mar 11, 2009

PCB Piezotronics has introduced the Model 1621-02A S-Type Load Cell, for precision measurement of multi-cycle, high repetition automotive component and system-test applications.

This sensor is housed in stainless steel and offers: a measurement range of 1,000lb (4.45 kN), 500 per cent full-scale overload protection in compression and tension and a six-pin PT-style connector.

This sensor features an operating temperature range from -54C to +93C and overall accuracy of 0.07 per cent.

It is engineered to ensure high repeatability and over-range protection and can measure compression and tension forces.

The detachable cable ensures easy set-up and minimises down time caused by damaged cables.

The available mounting accessories make this a versatile sensor for any test environment.
