The Cabletest Horizon marine analyser expands the test process beyond the simple continuity testing that has traditionally been standard in the recreational boating industry.
Using a 19-foot runabout with I/O as a model, the analyser performs functional tests on the boat and the helm assembly, and runs a final test with 100% interconnect verification of the wiring in less than three minutes.
This verifies the correct placement and wiring of all the gauges, radios, pumps, bilges, engine sensors, and navigational lights.

Wiring analyser suits hostile environments
Now available exclusively in the UK from the Peak Group is the RWA 1500 ruggedised wiring analyser from Cabletest Systems.
The Horizon Marine Analyser uses a Personality Test Module (PTM) that plugs directly into the instrument.
The PTM contains a series of resistors, diodes, and direct signals of the test module.
With application-specific software, the PTM can be uniquely configured for each helm that is tested.
Utilising an interactive test procedure that runs through the complete vessel test, the operator is prompted both visually and audibly using a remote hand-held control module to respond to a series of pre-programmed commands.
This testing concept verifies that each boat component is tested, and ensures that no failed product or component will be allowed to proceed until corrected.
The Horizon Marine Analyser will not allow any defective product to be accepted.
The test system can be powered from a dockside AC mains supply or via boat battery power at 12 V DC.
A 30 A, 12 V power supply is included to exercise all the vessel's components.
A 'pass/fail' message is indicated for each step of the test process.
