Existing stocks are over £500,000 with access to a world wide network of suppliers, allowing most common parts to be obtained and many unusual variants.
The Spares Division is managed by Neil Ginley who says - "Customers were contacting us on a more regular frequency explaining difficulties in obtaining replacement CNC and drive spares.
On some occasions we were able to give assistance, but often we failed.
Further research suggested that if a professional support and stocking system could be put in place, coupled with fast knowledgeable feedback a reasonable demand would exist.
Initial response confirms the need and we now find ourselves covering an expanding world wide customer base.
From the outset the internet has provided a large contact base.
The aim of our new web site, coupled to various search engines, is to improve the access and give more data and information".
An unusual recent customer requirement included supplying a complete Fanuc 6T system for retrofitting onto a machine due to customers' wish to maintain a known, reliable, standard proven systems.
More typical customer needs are due to an immediate breakdown situation where the original supplier is unable to supply on a short delivery or only at high cost.
Another common customer requirement is the need to purchase back-up drives and CNC's for key machines to minimise future break down delays and to ensure continuity of production.
Where required service/installation of spares/systems can be provided.
The Division has been up and running approximately 12 months and continues to increase the range of spares available.
