These fasteners are designed to reduce the number of parts needed for attachment, accelerate assembly, and promote neater and lighter component designs.
An added advantage of Autospec self-clinching fasteners is their ability to meet increasingly stringent automotive industry certification and quality standards.
Available for automakers, tier-one suppliers, and aftermarket manufacturers, Autospec self-clinching studs, nuts, and standoffs are designed to attach or connect airbag and fuel rail assemblies, water pump covers, sun roofs, engine mounts, door strips, window controls, dashboards, button carriers, and ignition coils, among other applications.
The product line includes Type HFHD high-strength threaded studs for thin metal sheets and Type HFED high-strength threaded studs for ultra-thin metal sheets.
Both types feature a dog point designed to ensure quick nut positioning and assembly, while protecting first threads from damage.
Autospec self-clinching fasteners are offered in a wide range of materials, thread sizes, and lengths and will install permanently in thin metal sheets.
