PEM self-clinching threaded standoff fasteners for permanent installation in ultra-thin aluminum or steel sheets are now available from PEM Fastening Systems.

Upon installation, these standoffs provide permanent load-bearing threads to enable components made from the thinnest sheets to be stacked or spaced securely utilizing the least amount of hardware.

Designed for installation in metal sheets as thin as.025"/0.63mm, Type TSO (steel), Type TSOS (stainless steel), and Type TSOA (aluminum) self-clinching threaded standoffs can resist high pushout and torque-out forces.

Their use in an assembly keeps hardware to inventory and handle at a minimum, since only a mating screw is required to complete component attachment.

All three of these threaded standoff types are offered in unified thread sizes #2-56 through #6-32 and in metric thread sizes M2.5 through M3.5.

A range of lengths for each is available to satisfy particular application needs.

These threaded standoffs install easily by inserting them into properly sized punched or drilled round holes and applying sufficient squeezing force with a press.

The heads of the standoffs will be flush with one surface of the mounting sheet.
