An updated 12-page product bulletin available from PEM Fastening Systems profiles the complete line of PEM fasteners for use in or with PC boards.
These broaching and other types of fasteners are specially designed to satisfy component-to-board, board-to-board, and board-to-chassis production-fastening needs.
Bulletin K reviews relevant specs for all types, which are available in a wide range of sizes to help attach printed circuit boards and acrylic and polycarbonate components.
PEM fasteners profiled in detail include broaching nuts with permanent threads for board mounting or component attachment; threaded or unthreaded standoffs for stacking or spacing and flare-mounted standoffs for greater pullout performance; threaded studs for use as solderable connectors or as permanently mounted mechanical fasteners with external threads; Snap-Top all-metal standoffs featuring a spring action to hold a PC board securely without screws or threaded hardware; and one-piece board-mount screw assemblies with captive screws for easy mounting and removal of PC boards.
The latest bulletin further references two new products for use in any thin-sheet application.
Snap-In panel fasteners can be installed without tools and press-in panel fasteners allow for radial float to compensate for mating hole misalignment.
