An updated six-page product bulletin from PEM Fastening Systems profiles PEM concealed-head self-clinching studs and standoffs for permanent mounting in steel or aluminium sheets as thin as 1.6mm The free bulletin includes application data, specifications, and performance information

PEM self-clinching studs (aluminium or stainless steel) and standoffs (stainless steel) are available in a wide range of unified and metric thread sizes and lengths.

Sheet preparation requires only a blind milled hole to the recommended minimum depth.

Reliable installation can be performed utilizing any standard press, including Pemserter precision presses, which are engineered specifically for installing self-clinching fasteners.

On installation, the head of the fastener is locked securely in the milled blind hole and is able to handle substantial loads.

The concealed-head feature of these fasteners allows the side of the sheet opposite installation to remain smooth.
