Self-clinching nuts provide load-bearing threads
A 12-page product bulletin covers types, specifications, and performance data the self-clinching fastener family of PEM steel, stainless steel and aluminium nuts.
Bulletin CL profiles the entire line of PEM self-clinching nuts, which (after installation) require only a mating screw to complete final component attachment (no other parts need to be inventoried or handled).
PEM nuts offer high pushout and torque-out resistances and distortion-free installation.
All clinching during the installation process (using a Pemserter or other standard press) takes place on the fastener side of the sheet, so the reverse side of the sheet remains flush and smooth.
When installed, the nuts hold tight and will not fall out or loosen.
PEM self-clinching nuts are available in unified and metric thread sizes 2-56 through 1/2-20 and M2 through M10, depending on type.
A special family of PEM nuts has been designed for use in thin stainless sheets, which are also profiled in the bulletin.
