Two new types of PEM self-clinching panel fasteners are designed to enable easy access to components subsequent to assembly.

Both types are ideal for attaching thin metal panels and feature a captive-screw design to keep hardware to a minimum, promote quicker installation, and eliminate any risk of loose parts falling out and damaging components.

Type PF13 panel fasteners (with knurled caps) and Type PF14 panel fasteners (with smooth caps) are complete spring-loaded panel fastener assemblies for permanent installation in aluminium or steel sheets as thin as 0.92mm.

They are available in three screw lengths and in thread sizes 4-40 through 1/4-20 and M3 through M6.

Both types can be ordered with DuraBlack finish to meet front-panel appearance requirements.

The panel fasteners are installed by inserting them into properly sized punched or drilled holes and pressing them into place using a Pemserter or any standard press.

The side opposite installation will remain flush.

Both types feature a universal slot/Phillips drive as standard; other drives are available.

The large knurled cap on Type PF13 fasteners allows for finger hand actuation.
