A free six-page updated product bulletin profiles the full line of R'Angle self-clinching right-angle fasteners.

A free six-page updated product bulletin profiles the full line of R'Angle self-clinching right-angle fasteners available from PEM Fastening Systems and provides specs and data on the newest available sizes both for aluminium self-tapping and steel threaded fasteners.

R'Angle fasteners are uniquely designed to provide a strong right-angle attachment point in metal sheets as thin as 1mm and can serve as cost-effective alternatives to: bent tabs at edges of sheets; bent tabs in the middle of sheets; bent flanges; right-angle brackets; tack welds; and loose hardware.

The bulletin outlines specifications, performance data, and installation procedures for Type RAA aluminium self-tapping right-angle fasteners for use in thin aluminium sheets to accept thread-forming screws in sizes 4-40, 6-32 and 8-32 and Type RAS steel threaded right-angle fasteners in sizes 4-40, 6-32 and 8-32 for use in thin aluminium or steel sheets.

Benefits in using R'Angle right-angle clinch fasteners include more predictable designs and tighter design control, no more tab cutouts (better EMI/RFI shielding), material and assembly cost savings, reduction of loose hardware, more attractive panels, and elimination of welding.
