A new panel fastener can compensate for mating hole misalignment of up to 1.52mm and can be installed into any panel material.

These PEM Type PFF floating panel fasteners feature fully captive steel screws in thread sizes 10-32 and 12-24 and M5 and M6 and in varying lengths.

They use a washer for easy installation with a flared punch into sheets as thin as 0.79mm.

Once installed, the panel fasteners allow for radial float in an assembly.

PEM Type PFF panel fasteners feature a standard slot/Phillips drives (or optional six-lobe drives) with a standard black ABS plastic moulded-through knob.

The knob has external lobes to enable operation by hand as well as by tool.

An aluminium retainer and spring-action plastic "fingers" allow the knob to be held in a retracted position.

Optional knob colours (red, yellow, green, orange, blue, and violet) will not flake off and can be specified for colour-coding/matching.

The panel fastener assemblies can also be ordered with optional UL94V0 knobs.
