Structural adhesives operate at up to 200C
Bondmaster has a range of single and two-part structural adhesives that is capable of operating at continuous temperatures of up to 200C.
User-friendly adhesives offer wide applicability
Bondmaster has two new highly flexible adhesives based on a hybrid technology that offers excellent adhesion to a wide range of surfaces combined with unparalleled flexibility
Bondmaster's new UV adhesives cure to a transparent material almost instantaneously under UV light, permitting their use on ever-faster production lines.
This adhesive range can be used for applications as diverse as the bonding of decorative glass and transparent plastic for the double glazing industry, to the sealing of automotive air bag initiating devices.
Although excellent chemical resistance comes as standard, each grade has special individual qualities designed to cater for as broad a range of end uses as possible.
UV7138, a tough and flexible adhesive, has good impact and vibration resistance and can bond a variety of different surfaces including glass and metals.
With handling time achieved in just a few seconds, bonding processes can be easily incorporated into high-speed production line assembly.
Typical applications include air bag ignitors, glass furniture bonding, and filter screens manufacture.
UV7168 is a non-drip thixotropic gel, which provides such high bond strengths on UV stabilised plastics such as polycarbonate and PMMA, that the bond can remain in place even after substrate failure.
Its thixotropic nature provides a gap-fill capability of 3mm.
It is ideal for decorative plastic and glass lens assembly, wire tacking and roof light applications.
UV7172 will bond "difficult" rigid or semirigid materials such as ferrite and those found in loudspeaker construction.
It will also bond through stabilised plastics.
Rapid curing and complete transparency after curing are further features.
UV7188 has a low viscosity of only 130mPas and is toughened.
Having been designed for structural bonding, it provides the highest performance of any Bondmaster UV product on glass and glass/metal.
This adhesive can be post-applied (ie applied after the components have been brought together) allowing accurate alignment.
UV7188 is suitable for bonding glass furniture and decorative glassware/ornaments.
All products are available in 50 and 200ml bottles.
