Air conditioners keep outdoor kit cool

A Pfannenberg (UK) product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jul 1, 2005

New air conditioners provide high cooling performance from a compact design.

Designed to produce a stable temperature-controlled environment in electrical and electronic enclosures installed outside, the new Pfannenberg UK DTS3261, manufactured from sheet steel, and, for ultimate corrosion resistance in aggressive atmospheres, the DTS3281 stainless steel 2kW air conditioners provide high cooling performance from a compact design.

The user can set the internal temperature within the range 25 to 45C; at the factory-preset limit of 35C the unit will remove 2.1kW at 25C ambient, linearly reducing to 1.9kW at 55C ambient.

To minimise routine maintenance requirements, the units are filterless and the compressor, condenser coil and associated pipework is epoxy coated to protect against aggressive operating conditions.

Integral condensate management makes them particularly suitable for use in remote unattended locations such as mobile phone basestations, pump rooms, power transmission cabins and telecomms installations.

Intended for side mounting, the DTS32xx operate from 110 or 230V AC single phase and 400V three phase input power supplies.

Sealed to IP56, the 3261 meets NEMA 3R/4 and the 3281 NEMA 4/4X.
