One of Europe's leading manufacturers of SSRs and thyristors is now coming to the UK.

One of Europe's leading manufacturers of SSRs and thyristors is now coming to the UK CD Automation's complete range of power controllers is now available via Paragon Alliance and its network of distributors

Paragon Alliance believes, with the use of the 3000 series, savings are possible in both time and money.

Among its many standard features the 3000 series offers customers: 23 current rating steps ensuring that you only pay for what you need, integral heatsinks on every unit designed specifically to give optimum heat dissipation, and with the new digital design the need for complicated jumper link reconfiguration is removed leaving the simplest yet feature rich thyristor range on the market today.

The CD thyristor family is split into six different groups.

The CD3000S is the most cost effective single phase solution.

The 3000S offers 10 to 110A, with SSR or 110-220V AC input and including heater break option.

A compact dual 10A version is also available for when space is at a premium.

The CD3000A provides a wide range of inputs, outputs and all firing types, including 4-20mA, 0-10V DC and potentiometer inputs, single phase, phase angle and delayed triggering.

Configuration is done at time of order by Paragon Alliance to customers' exact requirements.

Current can be controlled from 15 to 700A in one, two or three phase versions.

The CD3000M has the same features as the CD3000A but also includes RS485 communications and heater break as standard.

The unit can be configured via a portable PC or remotely across a DCS network for all inputs and firing modes.

The CD3200 is designed to drive resistive and inductive loads using phase-angle firing with current limit facility.

Universal input, firing and feedback are fully configurable via RS485 communication port.

The CD3000E (enhanced) is a fully digital three-phase thyristor unit, suitable for normal drive and special resistive loads such as Superkanthal, silicon carbide elements and inductive loads.

The CD3000E is equipped with universal input and firing, as well as RS485 communications as standard.

Finally, the CD1000 is an industrial thyristor package designed to control processes with multiple zones, such as co-extrusion, blow moulding and thermoforming, giving high-density packaging with side-by-side mounting.

Wiring between the units is carried out by means of flat cables and connectors supplied with the units, meaning that the customer only has to wire the input and output power cables.

CD Automation's rugged thyristor units are designed for industrial applications such as glass ovens, extruders, electrical furnaces and drying processes.

The full product range is available exclusively through Paragon Alliance.
