Family of power controllers arrives in the UK
One of Europe's leading manufacturers of SSRs and thyristors is now coming to the UK.
Dual solid-state relay squeezes into tight spaces
New from CD Automation is the space saving CD3000S 2x10A solid-state relay/thyristor power controller.
Each zone unit is connected together by a flat cable assembly which includes the auxiliary power supply, heater break alarm and RS485 communications, resulting in a significant reduction in wiring.
Connection between an HMI and the thyristors is achieved via the built in RS485 communication protocol, leaving the user to connect only the input and load wires.
All firing modes, including phase angle with soft start, are standard on the CD1000 and can be reconfigure online via the RS485 comms without the need to power down the unit.
Full diagnostic functionality is also available across the range, giving feedback of load or thyristor failure either from LEDs on the unit facia or remotely across the RS485 communication link.
The common digital design of the CD1000 combined with the communication facility means the user is able to remotely monitor the status, calibrate or reconfigure each unit independently.
Whether it be calibrating zero/span, changing the heater break sensitivity, modifying the power factors between units or simply reading the current value, it can all be done without leaving your PC.
The CD1000 is just one of the new fully digital family of thyristor power controllers from CD Automation now available in the UK from Paragon Alliance.
