Investment expands S American capacity

The company, which has been operating in Cali since 1999, expects construction to begin at the existing site by the end of September of 2004.
Commercial production of the new line is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2006.
Polymer Group's chief executive officer, James L Schaeffer, stated: "PGI continues to see strong potential to grow its business in the developing markets".
"This line, along with the previously announced plans to install a third line in China, will provide our company with the needed volume to better serve our customers".
"This line will enable us to maintain our leading position in hygiene as the Latin American market continues to grow".
