Chicopee, a division of Polymer Group has expanded its products for the industrial and institutional cleaning market with the introduction of new wiping products and packaging.

Chicopee has introduced Durawipe Xtra wipes that feature textured cleaning surfaces, added bulkiness, wet and dry strength, enhanced absorption, and compatibility with cleaning solvents and oil.
The company also is offering products in its Durawipe and general purpose Chux cleaning lines in a variety of popular put-ups, such as pop-up boxes, for easy dispensing and added convenience for janitorial cleaning.
It is debuting the new products and packaging at the International Sanitary Supply Association (ISSA) show in New Orleans.
"These new products and packaging options demonstrate our renewed focus on the industrial and institutional cleaning segment.
Our Chicopee division is the leader in the food service industry and we are committed to increasing our position in this growing market segment," said Polymer Group's chief executive officer, James L.
Schaeffer.
Scott Tracey, vice president of sales and marketing for the Chicopee division, said: "Along with our well-known brands, we are dedicating resources to benefit customers in this segment.
With expanded converting capabilities and enhanced manufacturing, as well as new leadership and sales personnel, we are committed to customizing our product offerings to meet the needs of this industry." PGI's new Durawipe Xtra products are made using hydro entangling manufacturing processes with wood pulp and polyester.
Available in blue or white with textures, they come packaged in pop-up boxes or polybags.
The company has also introduced new products in its Chux line, including five new double-recreped (DRC) towels available in heavy duty and medium strengths that offer a highly absorbent cloth-like feel, and wet and dry durability and capabilities it was claimed.
PGI added a four-ply scrim towel that provides low linting and absorbency and a tear resistant scrim for light duty tasks.
Sanitary suppliers can combine both Chicopee wiping and dusting products into a single order.
