Parker enhances UK business strategy
Parker Hannifin's Electromechanical Division (EMD) has officially appointed Time and Precision Industries Ltd and Micromech Systems Ltd as its two UK systems integrators.
Parker announces major enhancement to UK business strategy Parker Hannifin's Electromechanical Division (EMD) has officially appointed Time and Precision Industries Ltd and Micromech Systems Ltd as its two UK systems integrators.
The appointments follow an extensive review of product distribution channels, during which Parker EMD identified a need to further enhance its capabilities as a solutions provider in the UK's automation market.
Time and Precision and Micromech Systems are both widely renowned for their design and manufacturing skills in the motion control systems sector, and are long-standing members of Parker's network of Automation Technology Centres (ATCs).
"We are currently enhancing our world-wide network of ATCs to support increasing demand for fully-integrated automation solutions", said Nigel Allman, Managing Director of Parker's Electromechanical Division.
"By conferring system integrator status on T and P and Micromech, we confidently expect to add considerable value to the supply chain, and to accelerate customer delivery of the type of larger automation systems that now characterise the UK market." According to Matthew Cox, Managing Director of Time and Precision Industries Ltd, "We are delighted to be an integral part of Parker's new business strategy.
We have been associated with the company for many years, but by fostering even closer links we gain better access to Parker's huge resource pool, giving us a vital competitive advantage in today's expanding industrial automation market." David Gronland, Managing Director of Micromech Systems Ltd, agrees, "The steady growth in the UK's automation market over the last few years has been accompanied by a shift towards the provision of complete systems rather than motion control components.
By acting as a systems integrator for Parker, we expect to further grow our market share." ends.
