DSE Lite is designed to be easy to use, combining simple block programming functions with an intuitive user interface.

Parker Hannifin has released a drive configuration software package that can be downloaded for free from the company's website.

Drive System Explorer (DSE) Lite 2.02 can be used with Parker?s ranges of AC and DC drives, plus legacy drives, and has been developed to help design and production engineers minimise setup times and improve productivity.

DSE Lite is designed to be easy to use, combining simple block programming functions with an intuitive user interface.

The new software also supports user-defined configurations and offers real-time monitoring and charting, with on-line help facility for drive function blocks.

DSE Lite works with Windows XP and Windows Vista operating systems.

It communicates with Parker's AC650V, AC690+, AC890 and AC890PX series AC drives, plus the company's DC590+ series DC drive with firmware V3.2 or later.

It also supports the 590SP, 584SV, 605 and 620 series with firmware V4.0 or later.

In addition, the DSE Lite 2.02 combines features of Parker's DSE890 Lite, CELite and DSD products, while providing an up to date interface and more advanced monitoring capabilities.

The new software is backward-compatible with CELite files and works with all currently produced Parker SSD Drive families as well as several legacy products.

DSE Lite 2.02 can be downloaded for free.
