Parkem MotionControl will be promoting Parker SSD Drives' extensive range of ac, dc and servo drives and extending its technical and customer support for variable speed motor control applications.
Parkem MotionControl has been appointed as an official partner of Parker SSD Drives, part of Parker Hannifin, the world's largest manufacturer of motion and control technology.
Parkem MotionControl will be promoting Parker SSD Drives' extensive range of ac, dc and servo drives and extending its technical and customer support for variable speed motor control applications throughout industry.
Parker SSD Drives was formerly known as Eurotherm.
Hans-Peter Kindler, Director of Parkem MotionControl, explains that, "The partnership with Parker SSD Drives will enable us to offer our customers new and exciting opportunities in automation technology, which complement our existing range of products from both Parker and other leading brands".
"In particular, the expertise that Parker SSD Drives has in variable speed motor control will help us develop systems that can improve the precision, consistency and productivity of the production, process and handling lines used by our customers throughout Switzerland".
Mike Carman, Director of International Sales for Parker SSD Drives, adds, "This is the first time that our full range of ac and dc drives and servos, plus touch-screen and human machine interfaces have been available in Switzerland through a single, dedicated source".
"Perhaps more importantly, Parkem MotionControl has extensive knowledge and experience of many different industries, giving them the ability to support our products and add considerable value for OEMs and end users in each application".
The joint capabilities of the two companies will make their offering particularly effective in demanding or critical applications, where the high level of performance from Parker SSD Drives' products deliver significant value.
These applications include web tensioning and winding in the paper, printing and converting sectors; and component positioning and motion control in the packaging, textile and electronics industries.
