Parker Hannifin saw motor maintains 40m/s speed

A Parker Hannifin - Electromechanical and Drives Division product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Oct 12, 2009

Parker Hannifin has developed a hydraulic saw motor that automatically maintains an optimum cutting speed of 40m/s for 35 per cent faster cutting.

This translates to up to 4,000m3 more timber and as much as 20,000 more euro per year, according to the company.

The F11-iP motor also eliminates over-revving and uses a hyper-fast hydraulic control circuit to maintain the optimum chain speed throughout the entire log.

This constant speed, which is automatically adjusted to match the timber quality, enables the chain to work at maximum efficiency, with all available power going straight to the log.

The hydraulic saw motor uses Parker's Intelligent Power technology to reduce the damage to motors, chains and entire hydraulic systems.

With equipment providing longer, lower maintenance service life, considerable reductions can be made in downtime and associated costs.

By minimising heat losses, Parker's PowerBoost technology helps to reduce fuel consumption.

The F11-iP motor is suitable for any timber cutting application where maximum productivity is required.

It is supplied factory set with the gear ratio tailored to the machine in which it is to be fitted.
