Photonic Products has been awarded the prestigious Queen's Award for Enterprise 2003 in the International Trade Category.

This is the company's first such award.

Over three years, Photonic Products' overseas earnings have increased by 352%, representing some 60% of a total turnover of GBP 1.6 million.

Trading worldwide, the company's core markets are the USA and countries of the EU.

It opened an office in California in August 2002 in order to support its growing numbers of US customers.

Photonic Products has also become an ISO9001:2000 accredited company, further enhancing its credentials in the international marketplace.

Tony Pope, Managing Director and founder of Photonic Products said, "We feel very honoured to have our company's international trade growth recognised by the Queen's Award for Enterprise.

The worldwide market for high quality industrial laser diodes and products has remained healthy against all the odds, and we are very excited at the opportunities the award will open up.

Becoming an ISO9001:2000 accredited company will give our customers increased confidence in us".
