New light curtains from Pilz Safe Automation significantly simplify wiring because they connect directly to SafetyBUS p, the safe, open industrial fieldbus network The PSEN opt light curtains' integrated SafetyBUS p interface can remove the need for decentralised I/O modules in a control cabinet

Connections for an integrated dual channel emergency stop, muting sensors, muting lamp and start/test button are also built in.

Detailed diagnostics can be accessed online or via the status LEDs on the receiver of the light curtain.

Built-in muting is available, also with the ability to select muting zones through the PSS WIN-PRO configuration software.

Up to ten light curtains can be connected in series on the bus, and a simple Excel spreadsheet makes planning the network easy.
