Pilz has now developed its extensive range of safety relays to include a plug-in terminal version of the popular X-range of emergency stop relays, safety gate monitors, two-hand controls and expander modules.

With all the features of the existing relays, these new versions with plug-in terminals can be even more cost-effective and continue to provide the highest levels of safety.

Using plug-in terminals enables speedier installation and wiring; potential errors can be reduced thanks to coded plug and socket connections, which are designed to eliminate incorrect assembly.

The terminal block is easy to remove, so dismantling and re-assembly is extremely simple, reducing installation time.

Pluggable relays are available in 22.5, 45 and 90 mm housing for a wide range of applications: the PNOZ X2P emergency stop relay and safety gate monitor is just 22.5 mm wide but can each achieve category 2 and 4, with single or dual-channel control plus automatic and monitored reset.

The PNOZ X9P multi-function safety relay is a category 4 device with 7 safety contacts and 2 semiconductor signal outputs.

The P2HZ X1P two-hand control device is suitable for use with mechanical and hydraulic presses and complies with EN 574 Type IIIC.

Pilz pluggable safety relays enable you to have more terminals taking up less space in the control cabinet.

They are safe, easy to handle, eliminate the risk of error, can help to reduce downtimes and, if necessary, can be pre-wired to save time.

All in all, a worthy addition to the Pilz range of safety relays.
