Safety consultancy handles varied needs
Pilz' competence management system means that it always knows exactly which of its engineers and consultants have the necessary skills.
In parallel, the new website provides access to technical information, software downloads and forums - including frequently asked questions.
"Safety update" newsletters will be sent monthly in either of two formats - HTML (recommended) or plain text - so readers can register to receive whichever they prefer.
Many customers state that an important consideration when choosing safety products is the comprehensive technical support provided by Pilz Automation.
And now the support is even better, thanks to the new customer support website, which naturally is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
It is intended that this will become the first port of call for customers who need information relating to any Pilz product by rapidly providing help with the majority of queries relating to specifications, product selection, installation and troubleshooting.
Visitors can access technical information and datasheets, and there is a forum where questions can be asked - and where the answers to previously asked questions and FAQs can be read.
In addition, information about new products (features, benefits and technical specifications) can also be found on the site, as well as application stories and technology-orientated articles.
Other useful items include a downloadable interactive product selector that was previously only available on CD-ROM, and PDF versions of the "Pilz guide to machinery safety" (6th edition) and the "Pilz guide to programmable safety systems".
Contact details are provided when the required information cannot be found on the website.
