HSE publications can now be downloaded from Pilz website.

Several of the news items and articles published in the Pilz Safety Update e-mail newsletter and on the Pilzsupport website have referred to documents from the HSE (Health and Safety Executive).

Now these, and many more, can be viewed, printed or saved to the user's hard disc via the downloads page of the Pilzsupport website.

Fifteen HSE downloads are currently listed, covering a wide range of topics, from PUWER, risk assessments and a methodology for assigning SILs (safety integrity levels), to power presses, health and safety regulations and directors' responsibilities.

More HSE downloads will be added as they become available, making this an extremely useful resource.

For quick access to HSE publications relevant to the field of machinery safety, this downloads page is probably easier to use than any alternative currently available.

In many cases the link goes to a page on the HSE's website from where the relevant PDF document can be accessed.

This approach is used, rather than linking directly to the PDF address, to avoid broken links in the event of the HSE updating any publications.

Other downloads available from the Pilz website besides the HSE items include the very popular Pilz "Guide to machinery safety", the Pilz "Guide to programmable safety systems", the Pilz "Safety product selector" (also known as the Pilz Interactive Guide) and demo software for the PNOZmulti software-configurable modular safety controller.
