Pilz Automation Technology has finalised the schedule for its series of EN ISO13849-1 seminars for 2007.

The seminars will be held on: 11th September ay Horsley Park, near Leatherhead; 18th September at the Museum of Science and Industry, Manchester; 2nd October at the National Space Centre, Leicester; 31st October at Tewkesbury Park Hotel, Tewkesbury; 7th November at Northampton Saints rugby ground, Northampton; and on 21st November at Darlington Arena, Darlington.

The seminars will explain the current legal status of EN ISO13849-1 and the standard it is replacing, EN954-1, the timescale for the changeover, the differences between the standards, and when each should be used in preference to the other.

Delegates will be shown how to use the new standard and how to perform the calculations to validate the design for an electrical or nonelectrical safety-related control system.

Each delegate will receive documentation, a free copy of the Pilz PAScal safety calculator, light refreshments and a buffet lunch.

Places on the seminars are strictly limited and it is likely that they will be oversubscribed.

Anyone interested in attending should therefore reserve their place as soon as possible.
